As AI agents move from experimentation to production, their infrastructure needs are becoming increasingly distinct. Personal, enterprise, and technical compute agents demand different requirements, prioritizing density, balance, or raw performance depending on the workload. The new AMD Helion Agentic Rack is addressing this with a single open rack platform that supports various agent compute types and can be configured for different enterprise needs.

Supermicro is working closely with AMD as a design and manufacturing partner for the Helion Agentic Rack solution, combining [Supermicro’s Data Center Building Block Solution (DCBBS™)](https://www.supermicro.com/en/solutions/dcbbs) architecture and [rack-scale integration with AMD EPYC™ and Instinct™](https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/aplus) reference designs to help customers bring agentic AI to production faster and with lower risks.

## One Rack, Two Configurations

The AMD Helion Solution is an open, 21" ORv3 44OU direct-liquid-cooled rack that is OCP compliant, designed to provide flexible and optimized compute infrastructure specifically tailored for agentic AI for enterprise workloads.

- **Flexible Architecture:** Allows customers to balance CPU performance, core density, and power with GPU acceleration depending on workload needs.
- **Two Core Rack Configurations:** 
    - **CPU-Only Rack:** Powered by 6th Gen AMD EPYC™ processors up to 32,768 Zen 6 x86 CPU cores and up to 32 AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs delivering 322 PF of FP4 AI performance, optimized for hyperscalers to deliver high agent execution efficiently.
    - **All-in-One Rack:** Combines AMD EPYC CPU blades, AMD Instinct™ MI350P GPU blades, and general-purpose compute to provide enterprise customers all-in-one platform for agentic AI.

## **Supermicro Data Center Building Blocks Architecture (DCBBS)**

Supermicro's DCBBS architecture is designed to streamline the path from design to deployment, with modular, validated building blocks that span servers, racks, networking, liquid cooling, and on-site deployment services. By aligning DCBBS with the AMD Helion reference design, Supermicro with AMD will help customers:

- **Deploy faster:** Pre-validated, rack-scale configurations reduce integration effort and shorten time to deployment.
- **Stay open:** Standards-based ORv3, DC-MHS, and OCP NIC 3.0 support help protect infrastructure investments as CPU generations evolve.
- **Differentiate:** Supermicro adds rack customization, integration, management software, services, and support.
- **Optimize TCO:** Efficient, liquid-cooled rack-scale design helps maximize agent capacity while lowering total cost of ownership.

## **Availability**

The new AMD Helion Agentic Rack is expected to be available in the first half of 2027.
